Data Platform Manager
The team builds the platform and tool that power large-scale data processing and analytics atcompany. We provide hundreds of data engineers, data scientists and BI at campany andenable them to move fast and be more productive. The platform to manage the full lifecycle ofdata pipelines. This covers everything from authoring of the pipelines, to deployment,scheduling, monitoring and troubleshooting.
JobDescription:
●Proactively drive the roadmap for Data platform, define and execute on a plan to achievethat roadmap.
●Build a high-quality team and design the team to scale.
●Design large-scale distributed systems, with backend services, APIs and tools.●Design, architect and implement a platform for efficient data processing.
●Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.
Requirements
●B.S in Computer Science or related technical field.
●8+ years of coding experience in Java, C++ or other modern programming languages.
●5+ years of experience building on or managing data platforms, big data infrastructure.
●Experience contributing to or building platforms on top of batch/streaming systems (e.g.Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, Hive, Presto, Druid, Kafka and many others).
●Experience scaling and managing 10+ person teams.
●Communication and leadership experience, with experience initiating and drivingprojects.
